I set up TMI (Technical Motor Industries) some 10 years ago, originally offering general precision and maintenance engineering services. In 2000, after investing in additional equipment, we offered engine reconditioning and repair services to the local motor trade, together with on-site broken bolt removal and helicoiling. In August 2002 we moved to larger premises to accommodate our expansion.
As demand changed, compounded by the high quality imports of reconditioned engines and cylinder heads, so did we! We now repair or re-condition only the very obscure, old, or high-performance engines. We have disposed of surplus equipment, down-sizing to suit the market we cater for - again back to general precision and maintenance engineering services, and at the same time moving into much smaller premises, and finally a small name modification to Technical Model Industries, although still being known as TMI.
As well as engineering we are also manufacturing and selling model powerboats together with related components, as these boats have been a life long hobby of mine.
